Dreams came true this New Year’s Eve, people! I got to spend the day helping coordinate and set up for a sweet friend’s wedding then ring 2021 at a swanky party!
A couple years ago as Peyton & I chatted over breakfast at one of our fave local spots, she mentioned dreams of a New Year’s Eve wedding & thought about how fun that would be. (My parents got married on NYE 33 years ago so it’s always seemed like a magical time to me.) Soooo when she asked me about coordinating her wedding day of I was elated! A little nervous because this would be a first for me, but so excited at this opportunity I couldn’t pass up!

Peyton & her mom are probably the most organized people I have ever met! I consider myself an organized person but they take it to the next level & I’m just impressed. They made my job super easy which was so nice. We met up after Thanksgiving to discuss all the details so I’d be prepared with vendor information etc. Listen up brides-to-be because this is about to make your big day a whole lot smoother! They had everything separated into labeled tubs. Brilliant! Anything that can be ready to go when unpacked is the way to go. Peyton also created Google docs with contact information & a detailed schedule.

Peyton & Aiden wanted to ensure an elegant ceremony & sparkling NYE after party & they did just that! Peyton’s color scheme was classic black and white with bright splashes of blush. Antique candelabras & lush flowers created a sweet contrast of old & new on each table’s center. My favorite decorations were the vintage clocks that mingled with the centerpieces. Greatest idea ever for a NYE wedding if you ask me! Amongst other noteworthy decorations was a bubbly balloon arch to welcome guests & Hollywood glam worthy letters that illuminated Peyton’s new last name.

Their photo booth was a quaint camper dolled up for the occasion (& if I’m not mistaken it was at that breakfast we shared a couple years ago….basically they’re great, so hire them if you’re in the CTX area!).

Probably the most heartwarming touch was their memories table that had pictures of grandparent & parent wedding photos including Peyton’s grandmother’s dress!

When I arrived at the wedding venue on the 31st, things were already taking shape. A lighting company was adding chandeliers & the florist was placing flowers. It was a chilly, misty Texas wintery day so everything was moved inside, but the weather just added to the cozy atmosphere indoors. Soon all the vendors had set up & was handed the keys to the kingdom! Aka the remote that controlled all the lights…I felt pretty powerful anyway- haha!
The ceremony was perfect & the party was hopping! I loved getting to meet all the vendors & venue staff. It was a blast getting to be part of their world for the day.

I love a costume change! 😉
